About me

An entrepreneurial lawyer—business-minded with a keen eye. I am rational and realistic. I translate complex legal issues into concrete, actionable steps and always communicate clearly and purposefully. My working style combines in-depth substantive expertise with practical applicability. I advise, negotiate, and implement both legally and operationally, with an eye for commercial opportunities.

My expertise lies in technology-driven themes, such as ICT and Telecom law. However, I focus on artificial intelligence (including model governance, ethics, and AI compliance), robotics, privacy and data protection. ICT/telecom law in general. I work pragmatically and clearly, with refreshing insights and a strong analytical foundation. Continuous learning is a given for me. Lifelong learning is integrated into my approach and the training and workshops I provide.

Strong substantively, yet always practical in the execution. This has resulted in concrete contributions to legislation and publications, I contributed in the amendment of Chapter 5 of the Telecommunications Act in 2007 regarding the installation and management of cables. I was co-author of "Sharing of Assets in Telecommunications" (ITeR 82, Sdu, 2007). My years as an in-house lawyer at KPN and other roles have given me a keen understanding of both legal risks and business priorities.

I am a CAICO® (Certified AI Compliance Officer) and offer specific AI support. I help organizations establish model governance, ethical frameworks, and practical compliance measures. My goal is the same in every assignment: clear, applicable advice that helps your organization innovate safely and efficiently.

Graduated in 1995 from Erasmus University Rotterdam (corporate law), I continue to build expertise and initiatives that stimulate legal entrepreneurship. Want to know what I can do for your organization? Schedule an introductory meeting.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. ...
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
