I am a lawyer with an entrepreneurial spirit—business-minded with a keen eye. Rational and realistic, with a keen eye for commercial opportunities. I translate complex legal issues into concrete, actionable steps and always communicate clearly and purposefully. My working style combines substantive depth with practical applicability. I advise, negotiate, and implement both legally and operationally.

My expertise lies in technology-driven themes such as ICT and telecom law. My focus is on artificial intelligence (including model governance, ethics, and AI compliance), robotics, privacy, and data protection. I work pragmatically and clearly, with refreshing insights and a strong analytical foundation. Lifelong learning comes naturally to me.

Experience, publications and background

A strong substantive yet always practical approach has led to concrete contributions to legislation and publications. For example, in 2007, I contributed to the amendment of Chapter 5 of the Telecommunications Act (construction and management of cables) and am the co-author of "Sharing of assets in telecommunications" (ITeR 82, Sdu, 2007).

I graduated from Erasmus University Rotterdam in 1995 (business law) and have continued to develop expertise and initiatives that stimulate legal entrepreneurship ever since. Through my years as an in-house lawyer at KPN and other roles, I developed a keen understanding of both legal risks and business priorities.

I am a certified AI Compliance Officer (CAICO®) and offer dedicated support in the field of AI. I help organizations establish governance models, ethical frameworks, and practical compliance measures. My goal in every assignment is the same: clear, actionable advice that helps your organization innovate safely and efficiently.
